Summary

When King Saul tried to kill David, other people thought that it was over for David. Why?

▷ The Start of the Prayer of the One Who Remains - (Those Who See What the Will of God Is) → The Start of the Pilgrims’ Prayer (“24”- The Blessing of the 3 Transcendences) → The Conqueror’s Prayer – (Make Satan Kneel)

▷ David Prayed These Prayers - 「Preparations for the Temple」

▣ Introduction

1 Ki. 8:16 - Only David was allowed to build the house of the Lord to place the Ark of the Covenant.

Ps. 122:5 – The thrones for judgment were set in the house of David.

Ps. 89:35 – What was sworn to David would be fulfilled without any lies.

(David’s Confession of Faith – The Dedication Was Made First)

1. “Blessed are you oh Lord forever and ever.”

2. Everything Belongs to the Lord

3. Grace - “For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.”

▣ Main_ Preparations for a Lifetime (War)

It was a war regarding temple construction that would be taken away or be restored.

1. David Who Knew about the Temple and the Fundamental War (Ps. 78:70-72)

▷ God had already prepared David from a young age.

1) 1 Sam. 16:1-13 - “The Spirit of God rushed upon David in power.”

2) 1 Sam. 16:21 - Saul loved David greatly.

3) 1 Sam. 16:23 – When David praised, the harmful spirit departed.

2. David Who Knew about the Temple and the Spiritual War (1 Sam. 3:1-3)

▷ The Temple - It was a spiritual war to determine if it were an idol or God’s. Samuel who knew about the works of the Ark, relayed them to David.

1) He heard about the stories of the Exodus regarding the Tabernacle, tent, and tent of meetings.

2) He heard about the Philistines stealing the Ark of the Covenant and it being sent back after the Philistines suffered great disasters.

3) 2 Samuel 6:1-12 The City of David was built first, the Ark of the Covenant was returned, and David danced.

3. David Who Knew about the Temple and the Temple for the Posterity (In order for Solomon to Enjoy These Blessings)

1) 1 Chr. 29:3 – A Heart That Truly Yearned for the Temple

2) 2 Sam. 7:2 - Because the Ark of God was in a tent, David couldn’t sleep in peace.

3) 1 Chr. 29:10 – David gathered the entire assembly and gave thanksgiving to the Lord.

▣ Conclusion_ “For David, the Lord” - Why did God support David so much?

1. David was fighting a spiritual war.

2. David was fighting the Mason war against idols.

3. David was fighting the war to save the posterity.

▷ These blessings were relayed to Solomon. God gave Solomon more wisdom than all the kings combined. Even when Solomon made mistakes, God gave him another chance “for David.” As you prepare for the temple, you must truly pray and restore the prayer of the one who remains, the pilgrims’ prayer, and the conqueror’s prayer. Furthermore, you must now restore proper worship, evangelism, and missions.
